Juniper Village at Meadville recently hosted our annual visit to the Crawford County Fair.

From the Crawford County Fair website, “The Crawford County Fair is held every August in Meadville, Pennsylvania and it is one of the largest agricultural venues east of the Mississippi River, and possibly the oldest county fair in Pennsylvania. September 25, 1946, marked the opening day of the first Crawford County Fair.  You can smell taffy in the air, as well as cotton candy, dough boys, pies, french-fried potatoes and barbequed chicken. The fair has judging of cattle, swine, goats, horses, poultry, rabbits and lamas. Stroll through the Home Show buildings to view afghans, bee-keeping, canned goods and so much more!”  This year the fair was August 17 through the 24th.  Our Juniper Village at Meadville residents enjoyed feeding the animals and of course all of the yummy fair food!
