Juniper has always been committed to giving back to the communities in which we operate. Our residences serve as community centers that offer programs and support services for the elderly and chronically ill, as well as their families, friends and communities. Through these activities we are able to support the needs of the community and enable residents to remain integrated within the local social fabric.
We are also committed to advancing knowledge in the long term care field overall. Through such initiatives as the development of a master’s degree program in gerontology and long term care management at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, spearheading research projects, and participating on boards of organizations promoting the well-being of seniors and otherwise challenged individuals, we fulfill our goal of improving the quality of long term care even beyond the communities where Juniper residences are located.
Our new, comprehensive Connect4Life initiative is another example of our innovating for good. Connect4Life is benefiting our residents today via coordinated, integrated wellness programs that are proven to decrease hospitalizations and has the potential to benefit a much broader group of Medicare beneficiaries in the future.
We invite you – elders, family, friends, advocates, care-givers, public policy makers, and investors – to join the Juniper family of communities to create a national long term care system where, like the evergreen Juniper, the nation’s aged and challenged can be alive in all seasons of life.
