Throughout the pandemic, people have learned to do many things in new and sometimes challenging ways. While visiting face to face is preferable, long distances (even before the pandemic) made those visits more difficult. At Juniper we quickly implement video chats to keep our residents connected with their families once COVID-19 visitation restrictions were required. Applewood Place resident Doris makes it clear that one is never too old to learn something new. At 96, she has not only learned a new normal with COVID-19 reality, she has learned how to Zoom across the nation from Virginia to California. We are all thankful for the technology that keeps us connected. And in some cases, more connected than ever before!
