Nearly all of the staff and residents at Juniper Village at Lebanon took place in our “Go Pink For Breast Cancer Awareness Day”.
But this year, it was personal for all of us, as one of our own co-workers is now battling this particular form of cancer. So two co-workers came up with the brilliant idea to sell pink hair extensions for $5.00 each, and by the end of the day we had collected $240.00, which will go directly to our co-worker to help cover expenses and lost time from work. We all signed a special banner for her, and will be sending her a card. It doesn’t seem like nearly enough, but hopefully she will know how much we are all behind her in her fight.
