Remember when we showed you the photo of our first tomato, which was an inch in diameter and could be eaten in one bite? Well, this is what you get when you wait a few weeks, have lots of rain and sunshine: a gigantic two-pound, six-inch beauty! These tomatoes were started from seeds saved by our Juniper Village at Lebanon volunteer Frank Stellar, who started the plants in early spring indoors and gave us a few plants in May. Then our wonderful Environmental Services team planted them outside of the residents’ windows, and the rest is history and BLTs!
