Hello! My name is Hannah Ross, and I’m interning with Anne Campbell at the Juniper Communities home office this summer.
I’m a student at Penn State in an Integrated Undergraduate/Graduate Program, entering my senior year of undergrad in Health Policy & Administration and my second year of graduate studies in Health Administration. I also have two minors: Economics and Labor & Employment Relations. I’m from Mount Jewett, PA, a very small town in northwestern PA (near the Allegheny National Forest). I have three older siblings, as well as a niece and three nephews who all keep me very busy and entertained. At home, I like to volunteer for the Rotary Club, help out at my old dance studio, write, and do portrait and nature photography. At Penn State, I served as the long-term care club’s president for two years, as well as worked as a Resident Assistant. Last summer, I completed an internship with the Pennsylvania Office of Rural Health, and through my experiences, I’ve developed interests in long-term care, rural health, and health law. I’m incredibly excited to work at Juniper this summer and to learn from all of you. Long-term care is a passion of mine, in large part because of the experiences I’ve had with my grandparents living in SNFs and memory care. I’m hoping to learn a lot about the operations of long-term care facilities, the integration of various forms of care, opportunities for innovation in long-term care, and what it means to be part of such a dynamic team here at Juniper. See you around!
