This Veterans’ Day was extra special this year at Juniper Village at Meadville. The celebration began with a Veterans’ social. Light refreshments were served in our ballroom while we enjoyed a keynote address from John Amato via Zoom. The program also featured a poetry reading, folding of the flag, and presentation of plaques and certificates. Families were able to be part of the virtual program from the comfort of their homes.
In addition to the program, special friends of Juniper Village at Meadville added to the festivities. Payton Peterson of Cochranton, 2020 Pennsylvania Mini Miss Military Star, dropped by with adorable treats to thank each veteran. Patriotic masks were made by National Extraordinary Miss Pennsylvania Princess, Zoey Filger. Lakeland Area Hospice provided the certificate, and Meadville Women’s Club sent in personalized thank you cards. The personalized plates were made by our Juniper Village at Meadville Women’s Club.
Thank you to everyone who made the day so special – and an even bigger thank you to our Veterans for their dedication, bravery, service, and sacrifice.
