When Sarah Witmeyer’s son Bruce arrived from St. Louis recently, (a drive of 816 miles!), he brought along a very special gift for each staff member! Bruce’s wife Kathy purchased 60 mini zipper pouches from Thirty One, and she filled them each with small items such as Life Savers, tissues, a granola bar, hand cream and a nail file. The bags arrived in two large Thirty One totes, which Kathy said we should keep and raffle off! This will help us reach our goal for The Heart Walk in September. Kathy said that she found sponsors to provide a total of 176 gift bags for three facilities in Missouri plus Juniper Village in Lebanon, PA! Here is the lovely note that was tucked into one of the totes:
“Thank you for being such great and dedicated staff and taking care of all the residents! Please accept these ‘self-care’ kits to make sure you take care of yourselves! Thank you, Bruce and Kathy Witmeyer”
And now we would like to say thank YOU to Bruce and Kathy for the kind and generous gesture!
