The state of New Jersey grows more than 100 different varieties of fruits, vegetables and herbs. We are also ranked nationally in the top 10 as producer of such items as blueberries, peaches, bell peppers, squash, tomatoes and cranberries. The nickname for the state of New Jersey is called “The Garden State”. In honor of the fine produce grown locally, the residents of Juniper Village at Williamstown enjoyed a fun craft project featuring “Jersey Fresh” fruit. The residents enjoyed cutting the strawberries, peaches and apples in preparation for the craft project to begin to come to life. The residents worked together to layer the sliced fruits along with the freshly picked blueberries to create a colorful design of a bird. As the beautifully designed edible creation took shape the participants were eager to finish the project for everyone to see. The completed craft project was later used as a refreshing treat that everyone enjoyed!
