Juniper Village at Brookline Partner Feature: Jana Marie Foundation
The Jana Marie Foundation envisions communities working together to knock down walls and transform emotional distress into resilience and hope. Through the power of dialogue and creative expression, they spark conversations, build connections, and promote mental well-being among young people and their communities.
Juniper Village at Brookline has been proud to partner with the Jana Marie Foundation to host their Mokita Cafés – offering space for the community to come together for a meal and discussion about a topic of vital interest. “Mokita” is a word spoken in Papua New Guinea that means, “the truth we all know but agree not to talk about,” or “the elephant in the room.”
The Jana Marie Foundation offers a variety of learning and engagement opportunities to support mental health and awareness in our region. To learn more about their important work, visit their website at https://janamariefoundation.org/.
