On Monday, June 29 Juniper was honored to meet, virtually, with Amelia Schafer, MS, Executive Director & Region 4 Leader of the Colorado Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. Amelia met with our Colorado Juniper communities to provide the latest updates in Alzheimer’s research, Alzheimer’s Association news and resources that we can share with our families and prospects. The Association has received a large number of calls from people looking for resources, especially from those with concerns about COVID-19. We were thrilled to be able to learn and share all the latest news and the resources available to the greater community. Some of those resources include free classes for caregivers and professionals seeking to learn more about Alzheimer’s and dementia https://www.alz.org/co/helping_you/classes_training, the availability of support groups in your area https://www.alz.org/co/helping_you/support_groups and a multitude of online learning resources https://training.alz.org/. Please utilize and share these resources with those who can use them. And, perhaps the most exciting news is that the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference® is now a virtual event and you can attend at no cost! The event is scheduled for July 27-31, 2020 and you can register at https://alz.org/aaic/overview.asp!
