One day, resident Palma Lenza mentioned to a co-worker that she would love to have just one flower and a tomato plant planted right outside of her window near her bird feeder. The next day, this co-worker simply mentioned this to Steve Heller, the Director of Environmental Services, and by noon that same day, Palma had her two plants and even more! Steve also installed a shepherds hook with a basket of purple petunias, plus several more flowers outside of her window. Even her bird feeder was filled! Here is Paul Sheldon, member of the Environmental Services team, after finishing this labor of love. Palma said that she was just “overwhelmed” when she looked out of her window. At this time when family members can’t be present to look after their loved ones, it’s nice to know that we have such wonderful, caring people on staff to bridge the gap!
