Here at Juniper Village at Lebanon, our favorite artist, M.J. McFalls, recently guided through her own method of creating beautiful Easter eggs out of clay!
We first crumpled a wet ball of paper into an egg shape. Then we “threw” the clay, meaning we flattened into the shape of a large hamburger patty. Then we wrapped it around the paper ball, and again shaped it into an egg. Then we decorated them however we liked with a pencil point or other sharp tool, and then we added glaze. We will be so excited to see how they look after they get fired in M.J.’s kiln. Maybe we will have the final photos in a few weeks!
