It’s more than a jam session, a drum lesson, or a percussion pow-wow.’ Jeff Kuhn, better known to some as ‘Jeff, the drum guy’ visited with residents and staff of Juniper Village at Mount Joy this week leading an inclusive drumming circle.
Featuring the proprietary Bom-Da-Ti method of African djembe instruction, Jeff captivated the ear, focused minds and grew smiles across the faces of participants. No experience needed, everyone was able to play along to unfamiliar African tunes and well known songs such as ‘My Cherie Amour’. The living room was filled with the proud beat of drums, singing and laughter. Our hands and hearts had quite the work out through this musical expression!
