Women’s Day Retreat Cultivates Connection

On a snowy morning, friends at Juniper Village at Brookline gathered for the inaugural Women’s Day Retreat.

Led by the inspirational Donna Snyder, the workshop focused on celebrating our worth as women and empowering one another to tell our stories. By reflecting on our memories we not only find perspective on our past, but also appreciation for where we are now in our journeys and what we have to look forward to.

Donna used reflections and activities from Daniel Pinks best-selling book “A Whole New Mind” and Rosamund Stone Zander’s “The Art of Possibility: Transforming Professional and Personal Life” to facilitate discussion.

It was a wonderful and uplifting day of insight and connection. In addition to sharing belly laughs and smiles, we also resonated with one another on a deeper level. One woman shared, “It was interesting to learn how much we have in common and are experiencing a lot of the same things. When I first moved here, I didn’t consider this to be my home – it was just an apartment. Now I realize that we are family. We are brothers and sisters. We are one.”

At Juniper, we are committed to lifelong learning. To read more stories about how we celebrate life in the Third Act, visit https://www.junipercommunities.com/third-act-blog/
