Theralink Supports Whole-Person Wellness

At Juniper we feel that rehabilitative, restorative services and fitness are vital to healthy aging and whole person wellness. Theralink, a partnership between Juniper Communities and Genesis Rehab Services, meets that goal by providing in-house therapies and wellness programs for individuals where they need it most: in their home.

In addition to occupational, speech and respiratory therapies provided by Genesis, we provide special balance, strengthening, fall prevention, and dementia management programs that integrate cognitive and rehabilitative therapies. Through integration with our electronic health records (EHR), data from Theralink programs along with data provided by outside providers contributes to a single EHR. Pulling together important healthcare data into one place provides a more comprehensive wellness profile for each person.

As part of regularly scheduled Theralink Days, we offer Vitality Checks consisting of six destination wellness stations that measure levels of fitness, health and overall wellness.

At Lakewood Reserve we have a resident participating in Timed Up And Go!, 30-Second Chair Stand and the 2-Minute Step Test with Genesis Director of Rehab, Kaitlyn Bailey, PT. Lakewood Reserve Environmental Services Director, Devon VanTrump, is performing an equipment check while cleaning and sanitizing Phyllis’s walker. And our Medical Concierge Cameron Starling is checking Fran’s blood pressure. Once residents complete all stations they are treated to hydrating refreshments. Today we had infused water and watermelon slices – yum!

Theralink works and is an integral part of our Connect4Life program. Read more about Connect4Life here: https://junipercommunities.com/integrated-senior-care/connect4life-overview/
