The Luck o’ the Irish

We had the Luck O’ The Irish with us recently because we had a visit from one of our favorite entertainers, Bonnie Koons.

Bonnie played the piano and sang a program entirely made up of Irish songs, jokes, stories and blessings.  Bonnie made sure that everyone here at Juniper Village at Lebanon had a little green on them as we clapped in time to Irish jigs like “the Irish Washerwoman”.  Even though there was not one real Irishman in the room, we were all a wee bit Irish for that one hour as we sang our hearts out to “Danny Boy” and “My Wild Irish Rose”.  And as they say in Ireland, “May the road rise to meet you, and the wind be always at your back!”
