Juniper Village at The Spearly Center always goes above and beyond to make residents feel more comfortable but during the country’s new Covid-19 reality, they really kicked it up a notch! Televisions were generously purchased for residents that didn’t have one so they could enjoy watching TV and engage in independent activities in their own room. It is estimated that adults with spend an average of three hours and 35 minutes each day watching TV! There are some benefits to watching TV including the educational value, social, civic and cultural awareness, and logical and analytical thinking. So even with our activities limited by social distancing and stay at home guidelines a little TV doesn’t hurt anyone. Our residents are thankful for this generous gift and have enjoyed relaxing and spending time comfortable in their rooms.
