The weather was perfect, and everyone enjoyed the petting zoo, pony rides, inflatable obstacle course, face painting and balloon art. But the real star of the show was the food prepared by Chef Frank. Instead of the usual fare, we enjoyed Mexican street corn, jerk chicken, sausage and peppers, and funnel cake. The DJ was rockin’, and residents were dancing. But the real excitement came after the chicken in the petting zoo laid an egg, and then escaped her pen. She was all over the front lawn with people trying to catch her, and she was finally captured when a tablecloth was thrown over her! What entertainment!
