Juniper Village at the Spearly Center

Spearly Sidekick 1:1 Exercise Program

Sidekicks nurture a person’s spirit. Spearly Sidekick Associates provide reassuring kind words to pick up our resident’s mood and bring a smile to their face. Sidekicks provide compassion by listening with their hearts and empathy by trying to place themselves in the shoes of the residents. Sidekick Associates follow the Golden Rule and treat residents as someone that they love, respect and cherish. With social distancing as the new norm, group exercise is discouraged. But, with our Spearly Sidekicks we can trim the group size down to two while staying six feet apart! Pictured he were have a resident engaging in physical activity with their Sidekick in a one on one setting. This Spearly Sidekick Exercise Program encourages residents to do things together, communicate, build self-esteem, laugh often as well as get some exercise! And we can all use a little bit of that!!
