Recently, with Memorial Day, the 75th Anniversary of D-Day, and the Fourth of July, we’ve been singing patriotic songs, putting on patriotic concerts. We even had our own flag bearer, Bill Smith, who lives in our independent living apartments with his wife, Grace, and was equipped with his own flag carrying apparatus. He knew the correct way to bring the flag into the room for the Pledge of Allegiance and The Star-Spangled Banner. It lent an air of dignity to our celebration that made it truly a special occasion.
