Juniper Village at Meadville

Practicing our Gratitude

John Mange from Lakeland Hospice recently did a power point presentation and activity with the Juniper Village at Meadville residents with the focus on practicing our gratitude.

When one stops to think about things, often times we dwell on the negative, rather the positive. John helped us focus on the little and big things in our lives that we should be more thankful for. “It was a positive activity to start the new year off,” expressed one resident. Each resident talked about their own personal gratitude and then wrote down each item on a “Gratitude Flower”. The residents were all smiles by the end of the presentation and excited to practice what they learned.

“Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and created a vision for tomorrow.” –  Melody Beattie
