Lakewood Reserve Senior Living

Our Everyday Superheroes

If senior living is a damsel in distress, then staff at Lakewood Reserve, A Juniper Senior Living Community, are superheroes who are on call 24 hours a day.

Why? Because it is rewarding in so many different ways! Lakewood Reserve staff develop skills such as adaptability and problem solving, as well as proficiency in a communication and networking with the older population. They are often greeted with warm smiles or a heartfelt ‘thank-you’ when arriving to a residents room.  Both residents and employees have the chance to learn from one another- by sharing stories, understanding history, learning with technology, ect. Learning and participating in other people’s traditions become a discovery of differences which can be rewarding. Interacting with people from other generations can make you more open-minded, tolerant, and understanding. These are all qualities that embody what it means to be a true superhero.
