On Tuesday, July 28th the residents at Juniper Village at Forest Hills were invited to enjoy a delicious lunch in the Four Seasons dining room. This is not something we would normally talk about, however this meal was the first meal that the residents had been able to have outside of their apartments since March. Due to the recent COVID pandemic and as a precautionary measure; senior living community residents had not been permitted to gather or dine together in a dining room, and were required to dine in their apartments. However with Allegheny county recently moving into the green zone and with the decreasing number of county wide COVID cases; Personal Care Homes were given permission by the state to reintroduce small group dining. As you can see , the residents were all very happy to be dining in the Four Seasons dining room. Small successes…. but necessary steps for returning to some form of normalcy for our senior living community residents.
