While the rest of the world might be wondering who was the real winner of the Kentucky Derby this year, here at Juniper Village at Lebanon there is no question who our winner is: Peg Trautman! Thanks to Marsha and Ron Woleslagle, who are resident Gerri’s daughter and son-in-law, and who provided us with our very own Kentucky Derby Party, complete with Mint Juleps and a display board with a picture and the name of each horse in the race! Marsha made cupcakes for the occasion, and all of the ladies wore elegant hats. Each resident was randomly paired with one of the 19 horses that ran in the Kentucky Derby this year, and Peg won the grand prize! Many thanks to Ron and Marsha for providing such a memorable afternoon for everyone!
