Juniper Village at Forest Hills

JCC Choral Performance

This week, the residents at Juniper Village at Forest Hills were treated to a visit and one-hour performance by the Jewish Community Center’s Choral Group.

Initiated by Earl Parker, the chorus was comprised of more than 15 members along with keyboard accompaniment, and sang songs – both new and familiar tunes – for the residents. Mr. Parker kept us in mind as a place to perform because he and his wife were previous residents at Juniper Village.  Mr. Parker appreciated the care he received here during a very rough patch in his life, and has made repeated annual visits here to sing with the choir.  Current residents even recognized some choir members from their personal circle of friends, so the “reunions” that sprung from the choir visit were also a nice treat. The JCC Choral group is a program of Age Well Pittsburgh, and is open to all community members who like to sing.
