Juniper Village at Mount Joy

Introducing REfresh Mindfulness Program

Juniper Village at Mt. Joy is using an innovative Juniper program, REfresh uses a mind-body approach to create an opportunity for residents and associates to cultivate physical, social and emotional wellbeing.

Designed by Tsultrim Datso and Sue Lembeck-Edens, REfresh is different from other wellbeing classes in that it builds community, it is accessible and it is inclusive. Each Refresh experience includes breathing exercises to focus the mind, movement to activate the body and relaxation for moments of stillness to calm the spirit. Connections team members at Juniper Village at Mount Joy were trained this month in how to facilitate classes for residents, classes for associates as well as combined classes for both residents and associates. Various team members from dining, housekeeping, and wellness were also trained to serve as a host for REfresh classes. Pop up classes are already underway and you will begin to see REfresh on our connections calendar starting in June. We hope that you will join us and REfresh!
