We saw the precise way to correctly fold the American flag, and we heard several patriotic songs, including Elvis Presley singing “America the Beautiful” and Neil Diamond’s “America”. Everyone was amazed to hear Red Skelton’s very moving version of the Pledge of Allegiance. We were also learned that the folded American flag hanging on the wall right outside of the Willow Room, was gifted to our own Jon Davies, Director of Environmental Services, as thanks for his time in the service. This photo below that very flag shows two of our other veterans: Paul Hirlinger and Frank Stellar. Frank is a World War II veteran, who used to live at Juniper Village at Lebanon, and now comes back as a volunteer. We appreciate the service of all of our veterans, and we are privileged to have several living here at Juniper.
