Fall is when the best foods arrive. It is during this season that our favorite comfort foods start to be served in place of the summer salads. The residents enjoyed gathering together to make homemade apple pies. Some rolled the dough while others assisted with the deliciously prepared apple filling. With the cooperation from all of our bakers, the pies were lovingly made and ready for the oven. As time went on the delicious smell of the apples and cinnamon filled the air. The hardest part was waiting for the pies to cool down so that everyone could enjoy a slice of their first fall dessert. Yummy!
