Juniper Village at Aurora

Dedicated Team Member

Twenty years ago, when Juniper Village at Aurora was still being constructed, Alba Porras-Chavez saw a sign that said “Now Hiring”. She filled out an application and was offered a job that day as a QMAP/Caregiver!

Juniper Village at Aurora opened officially on February 15th 1999 with their first two residents. Alba was a Team Leader for dayshift, Director of Nursing Assistant, and is now our Medical Concierge. Keeping Juniper in the family, her son was previously employed here as a Concierge. He decided to go to the Marines, and when he came back home, he went to school to become an RN. His positive experience working at Juniper Village at Aurora, and his love of being around the resident’s guided his decision to become an RN. Throughout the years, Alba has met many residents, family members, and has many unforgettable moments that she will always cherish. “I love coming into work every day. Being able to sing to the resident’s, loving what I do, and continuing to be happy makes my job so wonderful. We have a great team, and everyone respects each other. I’m looking forward to the next 20!” Congratulations Alba!  We thank-you for all that you do.
