Housed in a historic 19th-century stone mansion (build in 1865 and owned by the president of The Franklin Institute), The Terrace at Chestnut Hill is truly a boutique community. The community is a place where our team of compassionate professionals nurture the spirit of life in each individual. To do that, we embrace Juniper’s distinctive programs that encourage active bodies, engaged minds and fulfilled spirits.
Conveniently located at the intersection of Stenton and East Abington Avenue, The Terrace at Chestnut Hill personal care community has 70 spacious suites, offering all private accommodations. Beautifully appointed, Chestnut Hill provides a warm and gracious environment with a host of community spaces that offer the opportunity for all types of connections in your third act!
Enjoy a morning coffee in one of our cozy living spaces. Read a book and watch the scenery outside our lovely sun room. Grab a quick game of cards in our bistro/coffee shop. Or simply relax in our backyard terrace or on our front porch.
Located on the same campus, our Wellspring Memory Care Community, serves just over 30 residents. The Wellspring community is a caring, secure, purposely built community for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia. Through a life-affirming, therapeutic environment, we emphasize strengths and support wellness.
Our memory care residence features uniquely designed small neighborhoods, each with its own living room, dining room, kitchen and private suites. Meals are enjoyed together in the homelike dining area within each. The small home atmosphere of The Terrace at Chestnut Hill includes a private garden used for special events or just enjoying the outdoors. Recent research has shown that the small house model of memory care fosters well-being and even happiness.

“I was looking for a community where I could be as active as possible, for as long as possible. And when I started to slow down, I could find the help I needed. The Terrace at Chestnut Hill fits the bill! The team here took time to know me, understand my current needs, and will be there for me when those change. I made the right decision and couldn’t be happier!” Bonnie L.
