Making words from various letter combinations is a game played often at Juniper Village Forest Hills! We enjoy the challenge of creating words from a large or small amount of letters. We’ve become quite talented at the amount of words we are able to create, so the Linked Senior “Chalked Words” game is one that is easily learned and quickly picked up by all. That is why, perhaps, when the Juniper Communities “Chalked Words” competition that was launched in late March, it was fairly easy for the Forest Hills community to do well! “This is one of our resident’s favorite game on Linked Senior,” said Connections Director Sharon Helminiak. “Our residents continually impress us with the number of words they can pull out of letter combinations during various Brain Builder activities we have. Such word challenges are a great way to keep the mind active and the brain working.” Helminiak continued, “We were thrilled to hear that our community snagged second place during the recent Linked Senior competition! At a time when we are trying to stay as positive as possible, such news put a smile on our faces! Without our normal group activities, we particularly appreciate the continual active participation of our residents individually!” Pictured is Juniper Village at Forest Hills resident Janet Ferguson during a “Chalked Words” session on Linked Senior
