On February 19, team members from Applewood Place, Lakewood Reserve, and Juniper Village at the Spearly Center got together to share their insights with other team members. Applewood Place is an assisted living community dedicated to serving seniors with needs ranging from simple activities of daily life to more complex clinical care, allowing folks to age in place. Lakewood Reserve is an assisted living community which also offers a program for independent seniors who simply want the ease of not having to manage laundry, cleaning, and cooking. Juniper Village at the Spearly Center is a licensed skilled nursing community with a focus on behavioral health support.
Jessica Watkins, Executive Director at Applewood, Adam Sigrist, Director of Sales and Marketing at Applewood and Lakewood, and Katie Karp, Director of Community Relations at the Spearly Center spoke to a group of Juniper associates about levels of care. Their specific focus was on how we can collaborate together across the metro area to benefit seniors with varying need. This could include simple household tasks to functional and mental health challenges as well others struggling with major mental illness.
While there, the team members also took part in a birthday celebration for one of the Applewood residents – what could be better than an opportunity for education paired with birthday cake? What a great example of nurturing the spirit of life!
