Juniper Village at Mount Joy

Air Conditioned Lawn Concert

The rising temperatures and sweltering heat was not going to ruin our lawn concert plans at Juniper Village at Mount Joy.

In fact, the cool AC encouraged a large crowd of Residents, staff and guests to gather and enjoy the musical stylings of Abigail’s Garden.  This lovely group of women performed an engaging set of songs, from Celtic, to gypsy, waltzes, folk tunes and originals that express beauty and whimsy. Each seasoned musician adds a unique touch to the varied selections, whether it’s a small original riff or a beautiful blend of harmonies. Abigail’s Garden includes cello, ukulele, fiddle, guitar, keys and vocals.  Beautiful harmonies and lilting voices lend a lovely touch to songs like Danny Boy, The Parting Glass and Caledonia. These contrasted well with lively instrumentals. Added to this mix are original songs by all members-including our very own Renee Lentz, Connections Director!  Renee is a recent addition to Abigail’s Garden alongside Laurie and Tish.  It was a great evening that was enjoyed by all!
