Lakewood Reserve Senior Living

A Roaring Good Time

Lakewood Reserve, A Juniper Senior Living Community, invited our residents and guests to step back into the roaring twenties for a lavish Great Gatsby themed soiree.

The 1920’s in the United States, often called “roaring” because of the exuberant, freewheeling popular culture of the decade. The Roaring Twenties was a time when many people defied Prohibition, indulged in new styles of dancing and dressing, and rejected many traditional moral standards. For many Americans they achieved economic prosperity and threw lavish spectacles to which people long to be invited. Several of our residents recalled stories from their childhood of such parties and wished they could have attended. We threw an opulent bash, fulfilling residents desire to one day host such an event.
